After months of viewing YouTube videos about the "novelty" 10 string guitar, I decided to pull the trigger and purchase the Agile Pendulum Pro 10730 in Purple Burl. I've owned this guitar since April of 2024 and I adore this instrument. As a self-taught guitarist and something of a guitar collector who has taught himself how to fully set up a variety of instruments (Fender/Squier, Schecter, Ibanez), I was prepared for this guitar to arrive and for me to need to do some work. The guitar arrived with comfortable action, minimal buzzing, great fretwork with no sharp edges, a finish with no marks or dings, and intonation that was pretty much exactly on point (I did need to do some light adjustment on the low G#). This guitar plays well above its price range. While the Cepheus pickups require a bit of time to craft a good metal tone, they ring fantastically with clean tones, and I have been able to get a good clear G#(1) note out of the guitar. I would recommend, however, some experience when working with intonation yourself. Be gentle and patient with this instrument, and it will perform fantastically. Small note - if you're able to find a guitar string thicker than .110 that you'd like to use, the saddles max out at about .120 gauge.
I would consider myself a metal guitarist. While I wouldn't say I'm a shredder, this guitar feels remarkably comfortable to play and it doesn't take too long to adjust to the extended scale and multiscale. If you're looking for the lowest of rumbles possible without sacrificing the range of your instrument, I would recommend Rondo Music's extended range selection.
(For the reader, I personally tune, from the low 10th string up, G#0 C1 F1 C2 F2 A#2 D#3 G#3 C4 F4)
