This set is awesome for the price. It's not like those cheesy start bass kit. Everything in it is high quality! The strings aren't rusted, the frets aren't uneven, it is flawless on my standards. Rondo Music packaged it nice and neatly ensuring there won't be a dent anywhere. The amp isn't those cheap "blow up anytime soon" amp. The DVD isn't as helpful than the internet. The bass itself is solid and beautiful. The tuner is extremely helpful for tuning the bass.

Good starter set! I bought this set for my daughter, who taught herself to play. It is great for a beginner. The amp and bass have a good sound tho we added some pedals for sound enhancement. We have had it for 2 years now and it is holding up well for something that is carried around and played often by my daughter and her friends. It was a well made purchase! I highly recommend this for a beginner. It is not so expensive so if it is not quite the musicians cup of tea, you have not put out hundreds of dollars. A good value!

Question: How does the full size model compare to the JR short scale model?
Answer: The JR short scale model is considered a 3/4 size bass. It is about 4" shorter and more than an inch more narrow than a full size bass. The short scale model is excellent for a person who is between 4'2" and 4'10", or for a larger person who just wants a smaller instrument (for perhaps when one travels). Adults with back issues also really like the short scale bass, as it is light weight.
Question: I received my bass and there is some fret buzz. What do I do?
Answer: Your bass was set up and buzz free when it was shipped. However the neck may have moved during shipment. This video should help: Set Up Tips. (The video is not made with an Ursa model, however the same principles apply in setting up your instrument.)
