Wood shell constructed from an 8-ply composite of birch using Yamaha's air-seal system which ensures perfectly round shells. One-piece chrome-plated tension brackets with spring-less, noise-free operation.
1.6 mm triple flange steel rims.
45 degree bearing edges and 1.8 mm snare beds.
Traditional (B-5) L-type release-side strainer.
(B-3N) R-type butt-side plate.
Snares are high carbon steel with 20 strands.
